Idowu Phillips, the ace Nigerian actress better known as Mama Rainbow, has penned an open letter of gratitude to God. The veteran recently took to her Instagram page to share the heartfelt letter alongside footage from her 82nd birthday photoshoot in October.  Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has ordered the suspension of recruitment into the state’s civil service until further notice. Governor Okpebholo also directed a comprehensive review of all recruitment exercises carried out by the administration of the immediate-past governor, Godwin Obaseki between May-November 2024. The directives are contained in a communication signed by the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Musa Umar Ikhilor on Friday, where Governor Okpebholo accused heads of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of carrying out clandestine recruitment exercises into the state’s civil service. A local court report in Finland says the Päijät-Häme District Court sent Ekpa, a municipal politician in Lahti-Nigeria, to prison on probable cause and on suspicion of publicly inciting to commit a crime with terrorist intent. The court says Simon Ekpa allegedly spread separatist propaganda on social media. The alleged date of the crime he is charged with is August 23, 2021, and the location is Lahti. In addition to Ekpa, the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation is also demanding the arrest of four men on suspicion of terrorist crimes.
